In this trip in Atlantic Ocean, the targeted species are pelagic seabirds nesting in the islands and other species sighted in the archipelago’s seas. The trip start from Madeira Island and is made in a rigid inflatable boat of 7,5 meters length. The tour is in the afternoon to get the peak of the species activity near land.
During these trips and depending on the annual cycle of each species it’s may be possible to observe and photograph a great variety of species. The two seabirds: Zino's Petrel and Desertas Petral are without a doubt the targeted species for any birder visiting the island. But these aren't the only breeding species that can provide you with magic moments. In this waters you usually spot pther seabirds such as the Macaronesian shearwater (Puffinus baroli), Madeiran Storm Petrel (Oceanodroma castro), Cory's Shearwater (Calonectris diomedea borealis), Manx Shearwater (Puffinus puffinus puffinus) and Bulwer’s Petrel (Bulwera bulwerii).
